Hancock County Property Tax

There are two primary factors that influence the amount of real estate taxes: the assessed value of the property determined by the Hancock County Auditor and the tax levies decided by the voters in Hancock County. Property taxes are due in February and in July each year. The Hancock County Treasurer is responsible for collecting the property taxes.

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover are accepted in the payment of property taxes. Credit/debit cards are not accepted in the Treasurer's office. You can pay by phone by calling 1-888-272-9829 (toll-free) and pay online on the website www.officialpayments.com. Please note that a convenience fee will be charged by the credit card processing company. For more questions about the tax payment, please contact the Hancock County Treasurer.
